Seniors

Wesley Community Center provides adults aged 60 and better comprehensive services that include health prevention & education, evidence based physical activity, daily hot lunch meals that meets one third of the daily required allowance, cultural & seasonal celebrations, case management services, socialization & recreation, spiritual enrichment, food assistance, and computer lab accessibility.

The core of Senior services at Wesley Community Center is the nutrition program and partnership that exists between participating seniors, agency staff and partners. Seniors play a large role in planning their activities and advocating their needs. Research has demonstrated the effectiveness of case management services, health education and socialization in a community gathering places such as senior centers. Through partnerships, with social service, government, health agencies and local universities, seniors are provided with resources, connection, and opportunities in enhancing their quality of life.
